GEMS from HEAVEN
Many parents are concerned about their children's welfare in today's society. There are so many things that can go wrong and take them down a dark destructive path.
Here is the GEM: if we who are parents bring our children up in the teaching and admonition of The Lord, several important things are more likely to happen: they learn to honor their parents; it may be well with them, spiritually and socially; they may live a well lived life and then heaven. Now THAT is worth teaching the ones we love.
"HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise), SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."
