GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
We have often asked ourselves: “Why do I continue to make the same mistakes?” Frustration sets in and we begin to think, “What’s the use of continuing to strive to do right?” Our conscience tells us it is the right thing to do, but you are so overwhelmed with frustration to the point of ignoring the conscience. Because it has been ignored, it then becomes dull. So, how do we prevent this? How do we sharpen the conscience so it will work again?
Here is the GEM: “I” has just gotten too big, so “I” must crucify self with Christ. Then, “I” must follow Him instead of trying to lead Him according to my way. When “I” do this, then “I” will be brought to a higher conscientiousness to what is right and wrong. As a result, “I” am able to see clearly to choose what is right because “I” am grateful to the one who will always make the way clear for me to see.
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
