GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
Have you ever planned to go on a trip, you get busy packing, and you think you have everything you needed? When you get to your destination you find there was that one thing you really needed, but left behind, ugh! How about a needed tool, an appliance, or clothing that you intent to use only to find that it is broken, worn out or it had been stolen? Again, ugh!
Here is the GEM: when we choose to listen (with intent to follow) to the word of our Lord, the word of life, we have chosen as Jesus described, as the one necessary thing and “the good part”. It can never be stolen nor will it waste away like the monetary things of this world. Now that is something worth taking the time hear.
“But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her."
Luke 10:41-42
