GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
It maybe after a mile walk, working in the yard or even after a workout, there is this deep thirst for water. At times it feels as though you are very parched and when you grab for the water or Gatorade, you just guzzle it down. There are many who have a deep longing need. They do not know what it is. They are parched souls grasping for any and everything to quench that need.
Here is the GEM: in the Christ you will find the living water that can and will quench the parched soul. This deep longing need is a thirst for life. When a person drinks of the water that Christ provides, in him or her will become a gushing fountain, leading to life eternal. Now this drink is worth guzzling down.
Jesus answered and said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."
John 4:13-14
