GEMS from HEAVEN
It is difficult to walk on unstable ground. There is the possibility of falling and hurting ourselves. Think of the unnerving event of an earthquake where the foundation of small to tall buildings shakes with the possibility of crumbling down; in some cases they do.
Here is the GEM: God has provided Christ as a stable and reliable foundation for our lives. Any other foundation we lay for a way of living will result in a crumbling life. However, with our lives built on Christ, there are no worries of this foundation ever giving way to anything. Now that is a foundation worth living on.
According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
