GEMS from HEAVEN
Peer pressure is a strong influence among all ages. It makes it easy to cave in to evil just to keep from being an outcast. We go against our better judgment because we want to be with the “in crowd”. We wonder how can we change course and have the courage to do what is right.
Here is the GEM: Jesus sets the example of what it means to be courageous for what is right. He was not of the world; He set His mind on doing the will of God which led Him to suffer outside the camp. He now stands triumphantly over the world. He calls all those who would have such courage to come to Him out of the pressures of the world to stand and suffer courageously with Him. Now, that is worth mustering up the courage to suffer outside the camp but in reality, to stand in triumph.
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate. So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.
