GEM from HEAVEN
How many of us wish we had more money, we were smarter, and we had more influence thinking that our lives would be so much better? We spend our lives pining away at what don’t have instead of using what we do have. How do we escape the doldrums of such thinking?
Here is the GEM: we must trust in God, be content and use what He has blessed us with. It begins with our obedience to His gospel which connects us to His unlimited power. Then it will not matter about what we don’t have. It will all be about the joy in serving Him with what we do have. Now that is worth taking inventory of what we have and use for His service.
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?"
