GEM from HEAVEN
More and more those who have a deep love and faith in Christ are being reviled. Some are losing their jobs and being shut out of opportunities to provide for their family.
Here is the GEM: even though reviled for the name of Christ, the Spirit of glory and of God is resting on us, i.e., we are made to feel disgraced by those who practice evil, but we are honorable before God. In reality, this is what counts the most. So, why be ashamed of wanting to live in eternity with the Creator in whose image we were created?
If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.
