GEMS From HEAVEN
Many of us have spent a good portion of our lives striving for greatness. Here are just two reasons, it gets us into great places and connects us with famous people we ordinarily would not. One can understand that, however that greatness is temporary.
Here is the GEM: true greatness for all of us in the sight of God, is found in servitude. True, in some cases, you are considered less in the eyes of society. But the greatness that comes from serving the Lord and our fellow man, leads to the greatest eternal place, heaven; it connects us to the company of great people of faith and most importantly, the great and awesome God. Now that is the greatness we should spend our lives achieving for it is eternal.
But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. "It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
