GEM from HEAVEN
Have you ever wondered why we do not know the exact date and time of our death? How would we live up until that time?
Here is the GEM: there is much wisdom in not knowing the exact time of our death. It is a motivation for us to live our lives in wisdom to present to God who deserves all our praise. Think about how fearfully and wonderfully we are made. Then think about the hope of salvation through Christ He has provided. We faltered when we sinned but He extended mercy to help us out of it. Ah, it becomes a choice to live for Him with whatever time we have out of love and appreciation for who He is.
As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; For soon it is gone and we fly away. Who understands the power of Your anger And Your fury, according to the fear that is due You? So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.
