GEMS From HEAVEN
Societal views of marriage have changed in the past few decades. Some view it as a business relationship to share the cost of living. Others view it as just a male and female living together doing what they want when they want and with whomever they want.
Here is the GEM: any view other than God’s divine arrangement of marriage will simply lead to an unfulfilling relationship. Both submission and headship done according to God’s instructions exemplifies what love is all about, harmony and joy. Male and female were created and designed by God to fulfill the needs of each other. The marriage relationship, till death do us part, is where those needs are to be met and enjoyed.
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
