GEMS From HEAVEN
It is such a relief to be open and honest in dealings with others. The phoniness is not good for building a solid and refreshing relationship.
Here is the GEM: with God we need not pretend for He knows our needs before we even ask. He knows what is already in our heart so we may freely speak to Him. Prayer is for our benefit to express our hurts, disappointments and needs before Him. As we face the challenges of life, our heart can become like a presser- cooker. It needs to find release, so God encourages us to talk to Him; for it is in Him we will find relief. It is not about pleasing men, it’s about a relationship with our heavenly Father where we are able to go to Him in prayer expressing our every need for He is listening.
"And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. "So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
