GEMS From HEAVEN
There are all kinds of noises around us. Some noises are very loud and piercing while some may be soft and soothing. The noise that seems to affect us the most is the noise of discouragement. It can be soft yet loud to our heart and mind. So what do we do?
Here is the GEM: God provides us the most effective noise cancelling earphones, entrusting our lives in His hand. Confidence is placed in the fact that He is our God and that He will rescue us from the whispering discouragements of our enemies. As His face shines upon us, instead of being distracted by the noise of discouragement, we will be attracted to the marvelous glories of His love.
For I hear the whispering of many— terror on every side!— as they scheme together against me, as they plot to take my life. But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors! Make your face shine on your servant; save me in your steadfast love!
