GEMS from HEAVEN
How many of us would be willing to make the choice to be ridiculed, slandered or even face hardship? In comparison it is very tempting to always choose the easy way out. It is unfortunate that many of us have done this when in reality it is the way of destruction. How do we overcome this great temptation and then have the courage to choose what is right and the difficulties that sometimes comes with it?
Here is the GEM: FAITH in God and His Christ. It is confidence in knowing that God will deliver and provide the strength to endure whatever challenges that may come our way. It is about knowing Him as the true and living God and that His reward will be given to those who remain faithful to Him and His cause. So let us choose to suffer with the Christ for in the end we will be glad and thankful that we did.
By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.
