GEMS from HEAVEN
Perhaps, many reject the gospel of Christ due to their view of being a servant as a negative relationship. With men yes, but with God it is vastly different. True, there are some challenges of being a servant of God as we deal with others. So, why should we be servants of God then?
Here is the GEM: the blessings of being a servant of God are tremendous: we have the attitude and heart of the our Savior; we are being obedient to our heavenly Father who loves us; we will be exalted with the Christ; God bestows upon us His name identifying us not only as a servant but His child; and we glorify our great and awesome God as we work out our salvation provided through the Christ. Being a servant of God is all about eternal life with Him. Now what do you think about being a servant of His?
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
