GEMS from HEAVEN
There is an old saying that goes like this, “old habits die hard”. When you think about it, how many us find it hard to unlearn some things that need to change in our lives? We find ourselves struggling to overcome those old bad habits.
Here is the GEM: In our service to the Lord, there are some things we must unlearn. One important habit or tendency is to stop substituting our desires for what we think pleases the Lord. We must develop a mind and heart to search God’s word to find out what is His desires for us. It begins by recognizing that God is our God and not we His. Second, allowing Him to lead us and not we try to lead Him. Then we can say that “old habits die hard” but they do die for we are now standing on God’s ground.
Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
