GEMS from HEAVEN
We are going through a phase or fad in our society of tattooing our bodies. Some have tattoos of the name of their mom, spouse, or children as a sign that these people are important to them. When they are faced with challenges they use the tattoos as means of encouragement to keep them going. This is not an endorsement for us to go get tattoos. It‘s a lesson to answer the questions when we go through the challenges of living right, thinking that God has forgotten us and not to give up on Him. We ask ourselves, does He care? Or, is He aware of our plight?
Here is the GEM: In days of old, Israel thought and felt the same way as they faced troubling times by their enemies. But God assured them through the prophet Isaiah that He hadn’t forgotten them for they were inscribed, engraved or tattooed on the palms of His hand. Today as we walk with the Lord according to His gospel, we are ever before Him. It is as though we are inscribed, engraved or tattooed on His hands. Challenges are the nature of this life. We must remember that God is always with the faithful. So, what great confidence it is to know that we are tattooed on the palms of God’s hands no matter what we go through in this life, living for Him.
