GEMS from HEAVEN
We all have at one time or another fallen prey to sin. It may have been something we said or did because we allowed sin to reign in our heart. We probably have family members if they could change from their sinful ways it would be peace and enjoyment at those family reunions.
Here is the GEM: In the family of God we are commanded to change our disposition toward others. God expects us to have a heart after His will so we may thrive in our relationship with Him and His children. Without having these qualities we cannot expect for Him to continuously put up with our deviance without His punishment of us for our sin. But looking at what He demands of us, shouldn’t we be able to see the blessings of living His way? What a great environment to be in where kindness, compassion and forgiveness etc. rules in the heart. Now that my friend, is what being a people of God is about.
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Colossians 3:12-13
