GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
In this last Super Bowl contest, we saw how important the quarterback position is. Even though one team’s defense did a lot of damage but on the quarterback. If he cannot throw or is under heavy pressure, he cannot lead his team to victory.
Here is the GEM: Christ is the quarterback, if you will, of His people. It does not matter the pressure; He still leads to victory. There was the pressure of ridicule, taunting, suffering and the pain of death and yet, He did not fold nor fumbled, but stood strong and died for us. That death looked as though He was defeated but NO, He rose from the dead victorious. Because of Him we who have obeyed the gospel to be of His team, are being lead in triumph as He triumphed over His enemies. Which team are you, Satan or The Triumphant Christ?
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.
